Dean was first to respond when the ice storm of '09 slammed Eureka Springs. He was out before sunup clearing and cutting debris so people who could get to their cars could get to work, and he kept it up until all was tidy.
Last week Dean took his giant Kubota to Joplin to offer what he had. He worked until told to stop, gave at least $1500 to people who had nothing, then came back home and made us richer for knowing him.
Citizens like Dean are the reason we have this feature.
