"If Richard Goodyear's Christmas dinners are as good as the Thanksgiving dinner he did for ECHO, we all need to be at his house on Christmas," said Richard's nominator. As chef for the Thanksgiving event, Richard started cooking the day before and had things going all night.

He showed up at 6 a.m., transporting loads of purchased and donated food which he whipped into tasty shape, including a lot of extras that weren't on the menu, like an amazing bread pudding. Richard is also always ready to cook at the Flint Street Lunchroom when needed. "He's very good about volunteering time. He likes to cook and feed people and never gets flustered."
