"One of Pat Mesa's secrets to longevity is that he enjoys walking every day and keeping busy with yard work and other activities. Until recent years he walked the entire historic loop nearly every day.

Pat will be 95 March 17. He isn't Irish, but he's been "green" for a long time, as co-owner, along with his wife, Louise, of Frog Fantasies. They used to wear frog costumes in every parade.

"Pat still walks regularly to keep in good shape, and even helps out neighbors with tasks like unloading firewood.

"He is a charming gentleman who is a joy to be around."
