Citizen of the Week

"Some pretty amazing people doing great things have been celebrated as Citizens of the Week in our community, but Brigido (Shampoo) Tapia seems to do amazing things everyday.

"Shampoo happened by an accident Monday near Holiday Island. He stopped and pulled a young woman from her car as it burst into flames. He saved her life.

"So many of us know Shampoo for his lawn service and cooking finesse -- he and his guys never shirk a task and have helped many of us out over the years. We thank him, celebrate him, appreciate him, love him and are blessed that he lives here."
