On Site, Not On Call
With the arrival of Dr. Les Sessions on Oct. 1, the Eureka Springs Hospital now has emergency-room physicians on site 24/7, not just on weekends. The hospital previously relied on local physicians working on-call to cover Monday through Thursday. Having Sessions and other doctors from The Sessions Group on site will improve the emergency department process, CEO Chris Bariola said, with the goal of decreasing wait times and increasing the time local primary-care physicians spend in the office seeing patients. Local physicians will continue to care for their patients admitted to the hospital, Bariola said.
A native of Dumas, Arkansas, Dr. Sessions is a 1974 graduate of the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and has 30 years of experience in emergency medicine. Find out more in the Oct. 11 Lovely County Citizen.
