Students pitch in to stock food banks

Friday, December 7, 2012

A pre-Thanksgiving food drive put on by the Eureka Springs Elementary School's Student Council brought in more than a thousand items for Wildflowers and Flint Street food banks. The competition to see which class could bring in the most food was won by Maggie Davidson's second-grade class, with Tabitha Grimm's third grade in second place, and Kim Huddleston's fourth-grade, third place.

"It was very competitive and the students worked hard," Davidson said. "It was a huge success."
