Library kicks off foreign film series Feb. 7
The Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library at 194 Spring St. kicks off its foreign film screening series on Friday, Feb. 7, with the Japanese feature, "Shoplifters." This is the story of a non-biological family that relies on shoplifting to cope with a life of poverty. This drama asks the question: What makes a family? It is inspired by reports on poverty and shoplifting in Japan. The film is rated R. The show starts at 6 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room, and admission and popcorn are free.
