Service Spotlight: Mandy Sears
Editor's Note: The Lovely County Citizen is proud to spotlight one of Eureka's special customer service employees every week. This week's spotlight is sponsored by Cravings by Rochelle Bakery in Eureka Springs and written by Que Thomas.
Mandy Sears serves as a sales associate at ECHO Thrift Store in Eureka Springs, where she has been employed for one year. She is the mother of six children. While most of her children are grown and live in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, her 13-year-old son Harley lives with her in Berryville.
"I am proud to work at ECHO because it not only provides me with the income I need to make a living, but it also allows me to be part of a wonderful organization that gives so much back to the community," Mandy said. "It is honestly the first feel good job I have ever had!"
Mandy's hobbies include volunteering, watching movies, spending time with her son and, most importantly, reading her Bible. She feels that her customer service skills come naturally because she loves talking to people and making them smile. Mandy said there are customers who sometimes come in just for a special hug.
"I'm a hugger and I welcome anybody who needs one to drop by and get a hug any time they need it," Mandy said.
Mandy represents customer service in a positive way and is always pleasant and ready to serve the customers from the moment they walk in the door. While she specializes in maintaining the book department, she is always very helpful in making sure that customers know where everything is and she helps them find items they are looking for.
Store manager Julie Tate said that Mandy is a friend to all.
"Mandy is my right hand gal. Her compassion, generosity and willingness to go above and beyond is what makes Mandy who she is," Julie said. "We love Mandy and it is a pleasure to work with her."
For her excellence in customer service, Mandy will receive a $20 gift card from this week's sponsor. Thank you, Mandy. Keep up the good work!
