Eureka Springs Elementary School principal Clare Lesieur is this week’s Citizen of the Week. Lesieur was nominated by the elementary school staff for helping the school acquire a grant from Solution Tree to bring world-class coaching to teachers, as well as bringing Heggarty and Phonics First training to equip interventionists with rigorous tools to help struggling readers. Lesieur has also instituted the Leader In Me program, which helps students develop independence and interdependence. “We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated, professional and caring principal who leads the way in empowering our learners for life,” the nomination reads.
